From Bangkok to Trang you can either take a short flight with Thai Airways or relax on an overnight train. Buses also available. Sleeping berths are available on the train and are cheap, clean and comfortable. From Trang you go by road the 40klm to the ferry terminal at Pakmeng. The ferry ride takes 45 minutes. Hat-Yai, a city to the south of Trang runs regular minibus services.
